With the news cycle being as it is today we often put less importance on recent events as we try to get on with life in these challenging times, but soon realize threats to our civil liberties has never yielded, which we are once again reminded with recent events. With that it's time refocus, so in honor of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Jacob Blake and to all the other people who were unjustifiable maimed or killed by the authorities, supported by its systemic racist institutions, this track was birthed.
Daz-I-Kue was honored that his talented friends to agree to be part of this project from UK to Atlanta. Music is gumbo/pepper pot of blackness with influences from HBCU marching bands, hip hop, jazz and more to bring a unique flavor that empowers and uplifts.
You will hear the talents of Atlanta’s hard working extraordinary MC, Stan Smith. 2 UK hip hop vets Steve Austin (formerly of The Powerlords/TWINS/Espionage) and Bam (formerly of Scientist Of Sound) who inspired by the track to step out of semi retirement and they didn’t miss a step, this collaboration has inspired forming The New Espionage, which you will no doubt be hearing more of real soon. Sean Khan who laid some amazing Coltranesque sax magic and such flute beauty. I can not forget Atlanta’s soon to be big MC Nesha Nycee with her rousing speech who has been on the streets marching and rallying people to action.
The proceeds raised from this release will go to Minnesota based non-profit “Until We Are All Free” (
